Regulatory guidance and project coordination

Terms and Conditions

1. Website and contracting framework

LEX CONFORM is a Lex Agency LLC project concerning product compliance information and regulatory coordination. Website materials are public information, not an automatic offer to perform a specific regulated activity. Sending a request does not itself create a paid engagement; a particular assignment depends on accepted written scope and terms.

2. Professional clients and consumers

Our work principally concerns manufacturers, importers, distributors and other businesses. A natural person acting outside trade or profession may have mandatory consumer protection rights. These conditions do not displace statutory rights or impose business-only exclusions on qualifying consumers.

3. Requests, proposals and acceptance

A request should describe the product, intended use, composition, applicable markets, economic-operator role and available documents. We may ask for clarification and confirm whether we can assist. The deliverables, responsible entity, cost, currency, taxes, timeframe, third-party charges and acceptance method must be documented before any paid engagement.

4. Nature of service and professional boundaries

Services may involve regulatory route analysis, document-gap reviews, preparation coordination, external laboratory liaison and assistance with submissions where authorised. We do not claim to be a notified body, accredited testing laboratory, regulator or certification authority merely by publishing this site. Only competent entities can issue their own certifications, decisions or authorisations.

5. Client responsibilities

Clients remain responsible for providing accurate product specifications, test data, design changes, safety information and authority correspondence; identifying the manufacturer, importer or other legal economic operator; and meeting product-law duties assigned to them. An incomplete dossier may materially change the proposed route or make an opinion unusable.

6. Fees and external costs

Prices, payment stages and reimbursable expenses are governed by an individual written proposal. External testing, translations, public fees, notified-body assessment and courier charges are not assumed included unless expressly stated. No fee or timetable is represented as fixed for all jurisdictions through these general website conditions.

7. Deliverables, timetable and changes

We identify the intended deliverable in writing, such as a memorandum, document checklist or coordination update. Regulatory review may uncover additional tests or a different classification. Changes in product specifications, authority practice or legislation can require a revised scope, cost or timeline, agreed before additional work.

8. Third parties and official decisions

Testing laboratories, accredited bodies, authorised representatives, authorities, platforms and external advisers make independent determinations within their functions. We do not promise an approval, certificate, regulatory registration or market entry. Any projected outcome is conditional on facts, applicable law and the competent decision-maker.

9. Consumer withdrawal and refunds

Where a qualifying distance-services contract is concluded with an EEA consumer, statutory information and withdrawal rights apply. The ordinary 14-day withdrawal period and rules for expressly requested early performance must be assessed individually; they are not universally waived by payment or by beginning work. See our Refund Policy and the specific engagement confirmation.

10. Confidentiality, personal data and intellectual property

Client information is handled under the Privacy Policy and any agreed confidentiality or data-processing terms. Site content remains protected by applicable intellectual-property law; lawful quotation and mandatory user rights are unaffected. Ownership or licence of paid deliverables is governed by the engagement terms and applicable law.

11. Liability and mandatory protections

Information is given with reasonable professional care within the agreed scope, but an informational page is not a product-specific compliance opinion. No clause here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable consumer remedies and liability for deliberate misconduct where mandatory law so provides.

12. Governing law, disputes and amendments

Any choice of law or forum in a signed engagement is subject to mandatory consumer protection and jurisdiction rules. Contact request@lex-conform.com before escalating a complaint. The former EU ODR platform closed in July 2025 and is not offered as a complaint route. We may update site terms prospectively; prior accepted contracts are not automatically rewritten. Revised 16 October 2026.
